Got a late start around 9:30 and ran into 3 guys just outside of town. They told us about the double L grocery that had showers and would let you sleep under the awning of the store. It was cool out today with some cloud cover, which was nice to get a little break from the heat. The hills were a little bit longer, but not as steep as we have had the last couple of days. Me and mike seem to ride well together. We are about the same fitness and get along well. I started hamering agin at the end of the day to try and get to the store not too late. We crossed into eastern standard time which now puts me 3 hours ahead of everyone back home. Found the double L grocery and talked to the owners arnold and lucy. They are really nice. They fed us 2 delicious hamburgers each and some green beans from their garden. I am always amazed that people let total strangers into thier homes and lives without knowing a thing about you except that you are riding a bicycle. Talked with them for a bit and then went to sleep outsie on a recliner.
